Artist Bio
Tessa McSorley received her B.F.A. in Studio Art with an emphasis in Printmaking from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she currently maintains a studio in Gainesville, FL and is a practicing and exhibiting artist. She has taught printmaking, bookbinding, and mixed media classes through the UF’s Leisure Course Program. Her prints and mixed media works have been exhibited nationally, in cities such as New York City, Boston, Chicago, and notably in the 30th Annual Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition in Peoria, IL. Her works can be seen in print in publications like Amelia's Magazine, The Independent Florida Alligator, and Words + Images magazine. Original works by Ms. McSorley have become a part of a number of public and private collections around the United States. Solo recording artist Laura Minor wrote a song, "Peggy Sargeant," about one of her installation pieces, and Ms. Minor and Kim Helm (from the band Whisky & Co.) are also collectors of her work. |
