. . . Two Types of Dirty . . .

The text and imagery used in this installation have all been inspired by a 1979 scrapbook found in a junk shop. The scrapbook chronicles a relationship between two individuals beginning with the initial stages of dating, and it documents their time together until the relationship's eventual demise. The installation featured disco music, a moving disco ball, a framed breakup letter found inside the scrapbook, silkscreened records with mirrored centers, and photos from the book silkscreened onto the tiled disco dance floor. These photographs were taken after the installation had been viewed and danced on during an opening reception.
